Not sure if this post counts towards Mish Mash Monday -- butt, it's all we got!
Mommy's oldest niece is learning about Area and Circumference of a Circle. So, Mommy got the idea for us dogs to find the Area and Circumference of a Slice of Liverwurst for homework (just before Mommy put Benji's medicine in the Liverwurst!)
We were able to find the Diameter for this Slice of Liverwurst to be 8 cm!
So, Benji and I did the calculations for homework!
I did the Area in my favorite color Blue! I found the Area to be 50.24 cm squared!
Benji did the math for the Circumference. It was an easier calculation than the Area one. His favorite color is Green, so he wrote his answer in green to be 25.12 cm.
Mommy's niece checked our math for us, she says it's right!
Here is a picture of Mommy trying to cut up the Liverwurst in bite size pieces to find the Area, butt she didn't cut the pieces up identical enough to get the answer we got!
Then Mommy tried to measure the Liverwurst Wrapper, but she couldn't measure that right either!
So, what did we learn from this assignment?
We have no idea what we were supposed to learn from this assignment - except, Mommy is horrible at measuring stuff!
(Do you know she tried to blame us dogs for her horrible measuring job trying to slice up the Liverwurst in bite size pieces. She says we were jumping and panting because we wanted the Liverwurst so bad, we were too distracting for her! So, she hurried up and cut the little square shapes without measuring it properly! Sure Mommy -- blame the dogs for your human error!!!)
Butt other than that, we sure know Liverwurst is yummy! That's all we care about anyway!

LOL! Your mom should come teach my math class! We just finish area/circumference and they still don't know how to do it!
ReplyDeleteWe always tell the kids to think "cookies, pies and donuts" to remember the circumference formula (get it? C=Pi D). Never thought of actually mesuring a piece of liverwurst! Brilliant!
Haha! All the calculations with liver wurst must've driven you guys crazy! Why couldn't you guys just eat the stuff? :)

ReplyDeleteI'm sure Beckett but especially Tucker would love liverwurst math. Not sure we would ever know what the area of a slice was though, it wouldn't last long enough to measure.
ReplyDeleteWow! Two canine geniuses, studying mathematics. Penny doesn't care about the circumference of any food, as long as it is smaller than the circumference of her throat.
