Mommy washed our beds!!! Blah!

Lets just say us dogs aren't very happy.

Mommy washed our beds over the weekend.

We had our beds smelling so nice and outdoorsy. Then Mommy decided to put the washable parts of the bed in the washing machine.  They are now clean.  (How are we dogs supposed to sleep with the beds stinking like clean!)

She even took Vacuum Beastie's cousin -- Carpet Washer Beastie -- and washed the carpets over the weekend too.

Us dogs were very upset about clean carpets as well.

Do you know how long it took us dogs to make everything smelling they way we like it!  I can't even begin to tell you how many times I had to roll around in the yard to get everything smelling right.  Then Mommy just comes in and washes things!  The nerve!

I thought it was bad enough when she gave us baths a few weeks ago -- and now this!

Benji flipped his clean bed over in protest.  This is a picture of me, Lassie, stomping on Benji's bed to make a point about how upset we are at stuff being clean.

Can you hear me barking (YELLING) at Mommy about how upset we are!  They are so uncomfortable now because they are clean and soft!

Benji sniffed the covers on Mommy's bed -- and can you believe it -- she didn't wash her bed sheet over the weekend!

Benji and I decided to sleep on Mommys bed -- and she can sleep on the floor on ours!

Enough said!

Park Day Pressie

We are so excited to tell you we won a present from pawticipating in Park Day Bingo.  It was so nice of Finn & Charley to send us a surprise gift in the mail.  Finn & Charley are so pawsome! 

We got Kong treats, more Kong treats, a special note from Finn, Charley, (and Gizmo), and a blue and yellow float toy. 

Did I mention Kong treats!!!!!!!!!!! YUM

We love the present.  Thank you so much.

Mommy, said I was like a kid on Christmas opening the present.  She didn't take a video, because she was too busy smiling from ear to ear watching me paw at the Kong treat bags.  She said it brought out the puppy in me.  It was the brightest part of her day!

Here we go:

1.  Grandma has a lift chair.  A lift chair is a motorized recliner chair.  She can push the remote control button to put her feet up in the chair in a reclining position or push the button to put the chair back into a sitting or even a standing position.  Well, Benji barks at Grandma ONLY when she pushes the button to put herself back into the sitting position.  He won't bark at Grandma when she reclines her feet up, only when Grandma puts her feet down.

2.  You will never guess what happened to our hula hoop. 

Mommy's niece somehow threw it on the roof of the house when she was playing with it and there is no possible way to get it down!  Mommy's niece promised to buy us a new hula hoop to replace it "one day."  We have been waiting an awfully long time for "one day" to come.  Mommy suggested we write a letter to Santa Paws and ask him to knock down our hula hoop from the roof when he stops by with his sled on Christmas Eve with his reindeer.   (Can someone please write a comment to Mommy and suggest that Mommy buy us a new hula hoop from the dollar store, because it will take furever to wait for Santa Paws.)

 

3. Speaking of Hula Hoop.  We made a musical production in our house in April. Yes, I said April and this is JUNE. And Mommy never posted it, it was her secret.  So, since it was from a happier time when our hula hoop was still on the ground -- our hula hoop is in our musical production from our outdoor scene.  So, without any further doggie doo -- we present Les Sheltie 'r ables.

 4. When Mommy is eating in the kitchen.  Benji sits on the floor to the left of Mommy.  I (Lassie) sit on the floor either under the table in front of Mommy, or I will sit to the right of Mommy.  We keep watch to see if Mommy "accidentally" drops any food on the floor for us to clean up.

5.  Whenever Mommy comes home from work, and she puts the key in the door to open the lock, the first dog's nose she usually sees when she is pushing the door open  is .... Benji!  Yes, Benji like to help pull the door open to let Mommy in the house.

6.  Benji absolutely hates it when.... Mommy takes her socks off the cheating way.  Instead of reaching down with her hand to pull off her sock, she will just rub her feet against the floor a couple of times to slide her socks off.  Benji barks like mad whenever she does this.   (I think this motion is similiar to how dog's pee and then they kick their foot in the dirt to spread the pee scent around.)  Maybe Benji thinks Mommy is gonna pee when she starts kicking her socks off and is trying to tell Mommy to go to the Restroom.

 

7. Guess what Grandma called me and Benji the other day....  Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber!   (We can take a joke -- no worries Grandma.)
