Grandma called Benji what???

Grandma accidentally called Benji by the name "Bill" today.    Mommy was paying bills this morning and Benji jumped up on the sofa next to Mommy and the pile of bills.  So, Grandma wanted Ben to jump off the sofa.  So she said... Bill, come here Bill.

Benji hesistated...he was like...is Grandma talking to me?

It was so funny and even Grandma had a good laugh when she realized she called him by the wrong name.

Gee, wonder if Benji was a Bill sitting in committee, what kind of law would Benji want to be.   I know how about a 3 treat minimum per day law.

So MAD at the BUNNY!

I (Lassiter Chase the Sheltie) am so MAD at the Bunny Rabbit that has been visiting my property! 

 

I go out in the back yard to do surveillance, and low and behold I start barking at the "bunny".  I smelled a bunny and saw a brown bunny shape in the grass. So, naturally I start barking and chasing it because I thought that was the bunny!

 

 However it was only a "decoy bunny" that I was barking at.  Not sure if you can tell but in the picture, there are a few leaves that are in a "bunny formation".  There are 2 leaves sticking up like bunny's ears, and the rest of the leaves formed the bunny's body.

 

However, when I was busy barking at the decoy bunny, the real bunny got away!  Yap, the real bunny took off towards the front of the house, and I was not able to chase it since I was still perplexed by the Decoy Bunny.

Safety Week Poopbag Flashlights

Hello our furiends.  Thanks fur stopping by.  It's Safety Week in Blogville and I (Dogtor Lassiter Chase aka Dogtor Lassie) along with my brother EMT/Blogville Ambulance Driver Benji are here with an impawtant Safety Subject.

Going Potty After Dark and using Flashlights and Poop Bags.

Now, since we are The Dogtors, we wanted to cover a health topic.  And we couldn't think of a better topic than going potty fur our Journal.

Potty After Dark

What to do when you got to "go" after dark.  No problem, make your human use a flashlight so you can go potty  in a well-lit area without worries of a Ninja Squirrel sneak attack.  There is no BUTTs about it - use a flashlight and don't forget to get your humans to scoop up the poop.

Now, instead of just stopping the post here....

Mommy got us some light up leashes.

We  recorded a video -- it wasn't too dark out yet because Mommy is scared  of bats and wanted to record the video in a hurry.  If we didn't have such a Scare-dy Cat of a Mom, this video would have looked pawsome in the dark!)

Speaking of Mommy -- We included a blooper of Mommy in the video.  She used 2 cameras to film our demonstration, she held one camera, and she had the other camera on the railing of the deck.    Our Mommy FORGOT she was recording off the camera on the deck... and well ..she started talking to Grandma -- and  let's just say... yap ... that's our human alright!

That's actually the flashlight shining in the dark.  Mommy stood in the doorway to the yard and shined the light at the top of my head.  See my brown spot.  Guess having a brown spot on top is better than have a bald spot.  Am I right or what!

 

On a serious note, we know us dogs aren't real doctors.  We do want to applaud all the real doctors and medical professionals out there in the world who care about helping others.   We also applaud all the real firefighters and police officers out there.  They risk their lives for others.  When there is a fire or other emergency, they run towards danger, instead of running away from it, in order to keep the public safe.   Thank you, you are pawsome!

Bat Cave (after)Party

We had a fangtastic time yesterday at our blog friend Ranger's Bat Cave Party.

Ranger totally outdid himself and had a photo booth where everyone's photo was taken at the Bat Cave Party. 

Look at the pawsome picture Ranger gave us.  Thank you Ranger, we love our picture!

Mommy tried to keep the Batman theme going at our house after the party, and look what we found.  A bag with a Batman logo drawn on it.

Oh, and on Tuesday we have pawsome post planned.  We are pawticipating in Safety Week and we are gonna do a post about Going Potty After Dark.   Oh my dog, it is gonna be so informative.  So, make sure to visit us on Tuesday. Happy early Barkday Benji

Benji's Birthday is on Monday, August 4th!  He will be 3 years old.

Now we've been doing a lot of thinking.

And we thinks our blog friend Ernie is gonna have a barkday on August 4th or 5th.  Ernie is a Dashund (not sure if we spelled that right - sorry Ernie).

Benji was born in OHIO and that's the state Frankie and Ernie are from.

Benji has a vague memory of being born in the middle of the night right between August 4 and August 5th.

Could Benji and Ernie be related?


Benji wondered if one pawrent was a Sheltie and the other pawrent was a Dashund. Eventhough the birth certificate said  Benji was a "purebred" we think that means Benji only ate bread and purely only bread when he was born.  Isn't that where the term "purebread" comes from?  Good thing Benji isn't a picky eater anymore!

 Anyway, Benji wondered what he would look like if he took after his other side of the family.

In any case, Benji we love you just the way you are, allergies and all!
