Trombone Weekend

Mommy had a cold last week.  She kept us up all night  throwing her socks all over the bedroom when she was hot. 

She also kept us up blowing her nose.   (So, that's why you see a roll of toilet paper on the night stand in the video below -- she ran out of tissues.)



Don't worry she is feeling better now.


So, since I am a considerate Sheltie, I let Mommy relax this weekend and I decided to direct Mommy's niece's Trombone practice over the weekend both on Saturday and Sunday in MY Master Bedroom.

Did you notice Mommy's niece tapping her foot to the beat of the music in MY Dog Bed on Saturday's rehearsal.

Your comment in a program book

Mommy's oldest niece made it into her school play.  (Some of you might remember that Mommys niece was my dance partner when the late Big Honey Dog had a Dance contest a couple of years ago.)

Would any blog friends out there be interested in writing a congratulations comment to Mommys niece-- your message will appear in the printed Drama Club's program book. 

They have a special section in the program book called "Petrons" just for messages from pets.

Mommy thought it would be neat to have a few Petron ads from our Blog Friends who always write us comments.  Mommy is willing to pay for up to 20 comments from blog friends to appear in the Program book.

The maximum message size is 80 characters (including letters and spacing and punctuation).  Mommy's niece's name is 8 letters long.  (We put big X's below to leave room fur her name.)


Here are some examples of a message:

Remember to just put your pet's name at the end of the message (no human's names).  And no blog addresses in the message either.



We need the comments by Thursday night so we can get it all typed up on the paper for the school.

Mommy always talks to her niece about fun stuff we read about on your  blogs -- she laughed so hard at the Crabby Girls picture once when the Crabby Girls totally overdid their makeup.   Mommy's niece is really impressed by all the tricks that everyone knows.   And she laughed at a few of the jokes at the New Years Eve Bash.  etc.

The Frisbee Slalom -- The Mini-Us Limpics

We are pawticipating in the Blogville Mini-Us Limpics today.

The Mini-Us Limpics is any event you can think of.  Most doggies are using small versions of themselves -- like stuffed animals.  You can post any day during the real Olympics (except on Valentines Day.)



We don't have stuffed animal versions of us -- so we used wood cut outs that Mommy's brother-in-law made of us.

He even made my ear stick up on the Mini-Lassie version of me.  How pawsome is that!

Benji

Anyway, since we didn't know what winter sport to enter -- we kinda made up our own - and are calling it the Frisbee Slalom.

There was a bunch of behind the scenes that Mommy didn't tape -- like us real Lassie and Benji's knocking down the cones about 87 million times -- and of course Mini-Lassie kept falling off his Frisbee during the event (even though he was seat belted in.)

Mommy also has no idea how the Blogville Ambulance got on the middle of the course! (It was in her coat pocket.)  I guess the Blogville Ambulance wanted to get up close to the finish line, and got a little too close to the action.

Don't worry the Blogville Ambulance, the Athletes, and of course Mommy weren't harmed in the making of this video!


We had fun pawticipating in the event!   It's great to see how creative everyone is in Blogville coming up with Mini-us Limpic events.

Look what came in the mail

Mommy was so surprised today when the mail came!

Oh my dog -- there was a Birthday package from the Cowspotdogs and their Mommy.  Its so fun our Mommy sharing the same birthday with the Cowspotdogs Mommy!  They didn't have to send us anything, but we admit our Mommy was smiling from ear to ear when it came!

Mommy had the day off from work because of the snow. Mommy's nieces and nephews had the day off too.  Mommy's oldest niece grabbed the mail out of the mailbox right before they headed out in Smurfette the Car to buy a birthday cake fur Mommy.

Inside the box, we immediately smelt some treats fur us.  These were the best ever treats imaginable!  I think they were homemade -- they must have been because they were SUPER PAWSOME!  We kept wanting more and more, but Mommy only let us each have 2 so far.  Butt the day is still young -- lets see if we can get more out of her. 

There was also a stack of GOT SHELTIE greeting cards.    Here is a picture of Benji posing with them.   (Also included in the package was a  Birthday card fur Mommy -- butt the picture we took was blurry -- so you'll have to take our word fur it.)

Thank you so much Cowspotdog's Mom fur the birthday gift.  You are so sweet!

We finally put together our furst Blogville "The Dogtors Journal."  We hope you find it very informative.

Shedding Problems?
Do you fur-shedding animals get your furs all over your human’s clothes?  Well not to worry – just get your peep a sticky tape lint roller thingy so they can get all the extra furs off their clothes before they go out in public.

Dogtor Lassiter Chase (aka) "Dr. Lassie" is Blogville's Furst Dogtor.

EMT Benjamin Gilligan (aka) "EMT Benji" drives the Blogville Ambulance.

We were so inspired by our Journal that we decided to get Mommy that special sticky tape lint roller thingy for her birthday (February 3).

Do you want to know why -- because a couple of months ago -- when we were really shedding a lot, we decided to give Mommy all these extra hugs before work, and we kinda got all our furs all over her pants, butt she didn't realize it.    At work -- the big boss decided to call Mommy into a meeting -- so she was going upstairs on the elevator (alone) and looked down at her pants and she was covered in Sheltie fur!   She started jumping up and down waving her hands against her pant legs -- butt it was no use -- the furs were stuck on her!  So, she went into the meeting hoping no one would notice anything -- and she doesn't think they noticed the furs at all.   Thank Dog!  

(We were not able to obtain the surveillance video camera footage from the elevator for this blog post -- too bad -- we would have loved to see Mommy jumping up and down looking like she was doing some sort of strange rain dance in the elevator!)
