Snow on the Poop Deck!

It snowed Tuesday into Wednesday.

Here are some pictures of us on our Snowy Poop Deck in the yard!

Lassie says to Benji:  I think I smell something on the Poop Deck! Stand Guard!

Lassie says to Benji:  False Alarm, the Poop Deck is all clear of possible enemy invasion by squirrels, aliens and snowfreaks (snowmen)!

Candy Land and Honey

 

Mommy's nephew challenged Benji and I to play "Candy Land" with him on Saturday!

 

 

SQUIRREL !!!!

We were barking our heads off at the gameboard because we saw a SQUIRREL right there in Candy Land.  Do you know how hard it was fur us dogs to concentrate on the game and stay on our colored square seeing that squirrel all taunting us like that eating that nut.  

To make things worse.  I don't know what game Benji was playing!  He was not focused on winning at all. He had his own ideas of what the game Candy Land was about.

 See, in the game Candy Land, there are a few special spots on the board.  If you pick the card with a special character on it -- you have to automatically go to that spot on the game board.   That could be good or it could be bad.  It could advance you in the game, or it could set you back.

 

Since, most of the special characters were food related -- Benji kept wanting to go to those spots regardless if it helped his game or set him back.  Benji went all over the place "eating" a: Gumdrop, Candy Cane, Peanut Brittle, and a Lollipop.

 

And then when Mommy's nephew (who was in the lead at that moment) picked a special card that had some kind of Plum on it -- Benji told Mommy's nephew to switch with him.  So, Benji went all the way to practically the start of the game where the Plum square was, so Mommy's nephew could move forward.

I ended up winning the game by a whisker. Mommy's nephew was a little unhappy about that.  Needless to say there was no rematch because I was tuckered out from barking at that squirrel, and Benji practically had a tummy ache eating all those make-pretend sweets.

P.S.  Today, we were saddened to read our blog friend Big Honey Dog went over Rainbow Bridge.    We furst started our blog during Big Honey Dog's dance contest over 2 years ago.  Big Honey Dog was so nice to us and made us and our blog feel welcome.   We met most of our blog friends thru Honey's blog.  We will never furget Big Honey Dog!  Tonight Mommy put on her Big Honey Dog T-shirt and Mommy gave us big slobbery kisses on our foreheads.  It was kinda Mommy's way of remembering Big Honey Dog and giving a slobbery salute to her.  Thanks fur all the memories, Honey!    We will always look to the sky and see if we can see a big star twinkling in the sky -- we know that star is Honey up there dancing over Rainbow Bridge and sending big hugs and slobbery kisses our way!

New Year Recap and snow

Happy New Year!

Us dogs were busy cruising around in the Blogville Ambulance all night on New Years Eve and checking on everyone at the Blogville New Years Eve Bash. 

Here is a picture of "Benji" by the Gazebo on New Year's Eve by the Ball Drop.  He decorated the Blogville Ambulance with lights and made it all festive.

 

(This "Benji" is a Christmas Ornament that Santa Paws got Mommy for Christmas.)

Benji and I even had a moment to tell our joke at the Blogville Comedy Club.
