post turkey -- christmas card exchange -- lake

Sorry we've been MIA lately.   We've been in a turkey coma the past few days.  Well not really, butt it sounds better than saying Mommy was busy cooking a Kasha stuffing for Thanksgiving, and Mommy was busy helping her niece learn the song Grinch on the trombone for her niece's holiday concert, or Mommy was busy putting up the$16.99 Christmas Tree with her eldest niece and nephew.

It's $16.99 Christmas Tree's 10th birthday this year!  So exciting.

By the way -- whenever we thought the Turkey needing basting -- we would bark to be let outside.  So, Mommy would let us out, and remember to baste the turkey, and then let us in.  So the turkey was pawsome on Thanksgiving all because of us dogs!



In other news....

We've been busy  working on our Blogville Christmas Card Exchange.  We signed up this year to pawticipate in the exchange and Mommy decided to use up her old postage stamps.  I say it's because Mommy is cheap -- and decided to use up old stamps to save money.   Mommy said -- that's not entirely true.  See at Mommy's old job she used to get to look at return envelopes and would notice stamps a lot.  I wouldn't say Mommy is a stamp collector -- butt she used to save some cancelled stamps she thought looked interesting. Well, sometimes she saw ones she really liked - like Disney or Muppet stamps or even the stamps that came out around September 11th -- and she went to the post office and bought sheets of new stamps and just saved them.   Well, Mommy said -- I can't think of a better time to use these older new stamps that I've collected than now.  So she used up her Pinocchio, Lion King, Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, and patriotic stamps on the Christmas Card Exchange.   She had to buy some 2, 10, and 1 cent postage stamps to make up the difference in price.

We really hope we calculated all the make up prices right on the envelopes with the old/new stamps.   We had so many spreadsheets and calculators going to try to figure out how many stamps to put on all the envelopes.

We really hope the envelopes don't come back returned to us -- or the Mailman might have a fit returning all these envelopes to us.  So keep your paws crossed everyone, that the cards make it to the intended recipients on the Blogville Christmas Card Exchange.  (If they end up getting returned -- we will just email everyone some Holiday Greetings instead with an apology.)

We already got 5 cards from Bloggers in the mail.  We were so excited to get them from the Cowspot Dogs, Frankie n Ernie, Susie and Sidebite, Sweet William and some new friends The Slimmer Pugs -- thank you everyone!
