This is the "Love Your Pets" Poem that Mommy worked on in the Beginners Calligraphy class.
Mommy didn't learn capital letters yet, she learns them tomorrow, she just eyeballed how it was written on a chart and did her best.
She got to use a rubber stamp in class. She picked the one with the bunny on it. Most others chose stamps with flowers on it. They used special markers to color on the stamp. Mommy liked the white markers the best. I think they said "American Crafts" as the name of the marker. These markers stay wet on stamps.
Mommy said she had so much fun in class with the stamps. You can use shades of colors to color in your stamp, like you can use brighter green and darker greens in the grass. Then you mist the air with a water spray bottle and quickly wave your stamp thru the misty wet air to rehydrate the ink, then you stamp your page.
You can also breathe hot air at your stamp to rehydrate the ink too instead of using a squirt bottle, butt Mommy was going all squirt bottle crazy in class squirting water in the air and having fun. (LOL)
Mommy had a print out of our blog post that she brought to class, so she remembered the words of the poem.
Mommy went stamp crazy too -- do you see she even stamped the bunny right on our blog post print out.
No wonder we "Yap, yap, yap" like the poem says -- we got a bunny rabbit stamped right on our blog post!

ReplyDeleteWow, your Mom did a super job! My Mom likes to do that too, but she's not near as good as your Mom. BOL She has to remember to make the little + sign with the diagonal cross to be sure she's holding the pen just right. She's really too sloppy, but it's fun anyway. Love the poem! Yapping is such an important part of our job. BOL

Mom's getting real good with the calligraphy. I can understand why the bunny would inspire you to bark.

That is great. We had a friend who wrote the most amazing cards and the like and everyone use to pester her to do special stuff for them. Wish we knew how. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

That is beautiful work. SHE was a teacher, so SHE would give it an EXCELLENT WORK stamp....on the back so the poem wouldn't be wrecked!

I always wondered how people did stamps with multicolors! I didn't know there were special pens and stuff. Cool! That sounds addictive.
