Look what Mommy did with our "new" kitchen chairs. Benji kept chewing the wooden chairs. If you remember from the Blogville Olympics -- Mommy kept duct-taping the old kitchen chairs we had -- and Benji kept chewing right thru the duct tape to chew the wood on the chairs. Benji's newest nickname is "Woodchuck".
Mommy's wrist hurts -- maybe arthritis or old age or something -- anyway -- it's hard for her to pull the duct tape off the roll. So, Mommy couldn't fix the old chairs with duct tape anymore.
So, Mommy actually found 4 kitchen chairs in the trash. And those are our "new" chairs. (Grandma said we will buy new chairs with those iron legs if Benji chews these chairs apart.)
Can you believe Mommy is cutting apart brand new pool noodles to try to protect -- trash picked chairs!!!

| These are the old kitchen chairs taken apart -- Mommy's brother-in-law is going to try to use the good part of the wood for a project. As you can see we ran out of tan duct tape at one point and Mommy used checkered flag duct tape. |

Oh -- and we should tell you -- Mommy buys pool noodles -- and we don't even have a pool. Mommy buys pool noodles in the summer because we have slip covers on our sofa's and the slip cover always slides down and she has to fix them everyday. So, Mommy wedges pool noodles behind the sofa cushion to try to keep the slip cover from sliding off the sofa. It works for the most part -- maybe not the best solution -- butt at least Mommy doesn't have to fix the covers EVERYDAY now.

ReplyDeleteHi! I jumped over from Benny and Lily's blog. I guess there must be tons of different uses for those pool noodles. We put one over the footboard of our bed because my hubby kept hitting his ankles against it in his sleep.

ReplyDeleteYou gotta do what you gotta do. We use a bitter lime spray on the things Finn used to chew. Someone told us to go into the pet store and go over to the sprays and test each one in Finn's mouth so we would see which one she would have an adverse reaction to! Bitter lime, it is absolutely disgusting. We use it on our rugs every day.

We have many knobs and things with chew marks. Bella always chewed wood, baskets and cardboard. Roxy chews anything! Great ideas about the chairs.
