The Crossword Puzzle

Mommy found a Crossword Puzzle in a book that she liked. She thought the puzzle was all about me (Lassie) and Benji because it had all these words to describe our personalities.

The name of the Puzzle is "Couldn't Be Better!". 

 Here are some of the words in the Puzzle that described us dogs perfectly...

Amicable (that means friendly)

Charming (delightful)

Happy (give us some treats and we are happy)

Helpful (We are always helpful and clean up food that falls on the floor ASAP.)

Joyful (we are lovable)

Merry (cheerful whenever we get new toys especially at Merry Christmas time)

Noble (possessing outstanding qualities)

Peaceful (calm) Mommy says us dogs have angelic voices when we bark; it sounds so peaceful to her!

Pleasant (pleasing manners, behavior, or appearance)
Remarkable (extraordinary) yap, that's us alright

Mommy circled our names on the puzzle page!

Mommy actually found our names in the Puzzle, and she circled them right there on the puzzle page (see above).

Butt then, Mommy's Brother-in-law circled the letters "WTF" and pointed an arrow at my name.

Look what Mommy's Brother-in-law did to our puzzle!   What is Mommy's Brother-in-Law trying to tell me ... That I'm full of it!    I beg your pardon!  Why would he circle the letters "WTF" and point it to my name! 

Needless to say, I found a word in the Crossword Puzzle to describe Mommy's Brother-in-Law (see below).

P. S. Santa paws gave Mommy the cutest Sheltie ornaments with our names on it.  We will have to take a picture for next time.

Breaking news flash...

1. Mommy hung up the stockings by the fireplace -- finally!

 

2. Mommy's sister is back on the nice list.  She made Christmas cookies for Santa shaped like dogs, see picture above.  Mommy's sister usually sticks to traditional looking cookies, so the dog shaped cookies were a pawsome surprise when Mommy found out about it.

 

3. We got our own Christmas card today in the mail.  We wanted to thank the cowspot dogs for offering to send us a card -- that really was a  great gesture knowing you and blogville care about us.  Just when we least expected it, today in the mailbox was a Christmas Card and it had our names in it.  It was like a Christmas miracle.  The card has a picture of santa with dogs sitting on santa's lap.  The card is from one of our neighbors dog named Abby.  She is a begal. Not sure if I spelled that right.  Anyway she is a mature doggie, and has a terrific voice.  She knows how to hit those low notes and hold them out. I would say she has an operatic voice.  Constantly whenever we hear Abby singing down the block, we get all bushy tailed and we bark and yap saying, encore, sing it again, bravo.  Abby's got talent!!! 

 

 

 

Merry Christmas!!! (Mommy's sister got on the Naughty List!)

I think we are gonna be swamped the next few days getting ready for Christmas.  We don't even have our Christmas Stockings hanging by the fireplace yet!!! So, we wanted to wish our blog friends a Merry Christmas and festive Holiday!

Do you know, Mommy's sister got on the naughty list on account of us!   Mommy kinda didn't sign us up for the Blogville Christmas Card exchange because it all happened around the time that tree branch fell on Mommy's car and Mommy was too stressy to think about Christmas.

We've been reading all of our friends blogs and noticed how many Christmas cards you all got, and we are so jealous!!!!

We've been signing our names on all the cards that Mommy sends to neighbors, family and friends.

And nobody addressed any Christmas card to "Lassie and Benji too".

We were so upset.

Then Mommy's sister's card came -- we thought surely she would have included our names along with Mommy and Grandma -- but noooo she didn't.

Mommy kinda told her sister about how upset us dogs were and she said ... "Oh, for beepity beep sake, give me the beep'n card back and I'll add their names on it."  (You are going to have to pardon Mommy's sister's "potty mouth", we had to "beep" out the inappropriate words.)

So, naturally Santa overheard Mommy's sister's potty mouth and she got on the Naughty List.

None of this would have happened if Mommy would have just signed us up for the Christmas Card exchange in the first place.   (I guess Mommy might be on the Naughty List now too, since she got her sister in trouble with Santa and all.)

We were waiting for Santa to drive by in the Firetruck in this picture.  I'm on the chair, Benji is on the porch.  And Mommy is, well, I don't know what Mommy is doing because she didn't even button her coat right!
