We've been out and about looking all over blogville to see all the games that are out there to help our blog friend Benny the French Bulldog who is fighting Liver Cancer.
We signed up to play Twister with Sarge and the Crabby Girls! There still time to enter the Twister Tournament. You have to enter by Sunday and leave a donation to help support Benny the French Bulldog.
We are sooooo excited. It is gonna be so pawsome! The Twister Tournament is on Wednesday, 7/17/13.

We also entered a Guessing Game hosted by LovableLily.
Benny the French Bulldog is fighting Liver Cancer and needs some help with his medical bills. Benny is one of our Blog friends! (He and his sister Lily hosted the Beach Ball event during the Blogville Olympics last year, and that's where we got to know Benny and Lily and their blog.)

We along with a bunch of Benny's Buddies are posting games July 7-20th as a fundraiser for Benny.
As an added bonus, we are giving away a Patriotic Red, White, and Blue Rubber Band Bracelet that we supervised the making of. The bracelet is for humans, not dogs. Rubber Band bracelets are very popular with teens and tweens. The bracelet is plenty big and it stretches too since it's made from rubber bands. We chose the colors red, white and blue, because they are the colors of the American flag and they are also the colors of the French flag since Benny is a French Bulldog.

Its customary to put ketchup on BBQ hotdogs and hamburgers. And we decided our blog needed some much needed "ketchup" (catch up.)
In no particular order, here's some of the things we've been up to.
1. Way back in the day, probably at the end of May, there was a little birdie who was fixated with our car named Smurfette. You will have to watch the video and pay attention to the front left tire. If you don't know, in the cartoon "Smurfs" there is a Smurf named "Vanity Smurf" who would always look at himself in the mirror and admire his image. So, we've been calling this birdie who wouldn't leave Smurfette the Car alone -- Vanity Smurf Bird.
Here is a picture of Benji with a Smurf magnet. It's not Vanity Smurf with Smurfette-- butt you get the idea.

2. Mommy has spent a lot of time trying to fix up the front of the house these past couple of months. We cut down the trees in October, and stuff looked naked. So, Mommy bought some dirt, grass sod, flowers, stuff, small rose bushes that were $2.50 a bush, and tried to beautify the lawn.
In this picture, here is a patch of sod that Mommy planted by the driveway, and she put that white stone circle planter towards the middle of the picture and planted flowers in it. I know it doesn't look like much, butt Mommy is proud -- to her stuff like sod and bags of dirt is really heavy. So, she had to lug stuff around and do it herself. (Girl Power!)
Here is another picture of the front of our house. Mommy planted flowers and bushes by the 1212 sign, and put a piece of sod at the bottom by the driveway. Mommy added more white circle stone garden, etc... (By the way, we always get sand in the street that travels from the neighbors. Mommy is not looking forward to sweeping up all that sand.)
Here is a picture of a Sheltie Flag by one of the white stone circles. (That blue thing on the back left is duct tape, Mommy tried to fix an old wooden well decoration that was falling apart. )
Its the Sheltie Statue. Mommy showed you a picture of a Sheltie Statue for sale last year. Mommy wanted to wait for the price to go down to buy it, and then the placed closed at the end of the season for winter. Mommy was upset. Anyway, Mommy's sister drove to the place in the spring and picked up the Sheltie Statue for Mommy and surprised her. Mommy sounded like a little kid screaming when she saw the statue in the garden. (Mommy has a really great sister!)

3. Remember in my last post about Mommy washing our dog beds and washing the carpets, well Mommy ended up putting clean stuff on her bed too. I can't believe she waited until bed time and decided to change her sheets. So, I jumped on the bed in record timing, to try to stink up her stuff so she could get a good nights rest. Then Mommy took a picture of me and started doing an evil laugh.
I was like -- what the!
Do you see what pillow case she put on her bed -- she put a cat pillowcase. (She's had this pillowcase forever since she was a kid.) Can you believe I was laying on a C A T pillowcase.
Here I was trying to be the Caring Compassionate Loving Sheltie and I was willing to stink up her pillowcase so SHE could get a good night sleep instead of having things smelling like clean --- and she goes and snaps a Blackmail picture of me getting all comfy on a pillowcase with cats all over it! The nerve!

4. We are gonna pawticipate and help out Benny the French Bulldog. Starting Sunday, Blogville residents are gonna post games and ask people to donate to help Benny the French Bulldog who is fighting liver cancer. Mommy asked her niece for help, and made a patriotic rubber band bracelet (for humans) with the plastic peg board thingy called the "Rainbow Loom". Anyway, Mommy is gonna have a giveaway for this bracelet as part of the Game we will post on Sunday.

Here is a picture of the finished bracelet. It's plenty big for humans, I know it doesn't look big in this picture - and don't forget it's rubber bands so it stretches. We will have to snap a better picture of the bracelet for Sunday, this picture turned out too dark.
We chose Red White and Blue because of Independence Day (4th of July) and because the French Flag is Blue White and Red stripes -- because Benny is a French Bulldog.
