My Super Hero Cape Arrived just in time...

Mommy was on Pooper Scooper Duty yesterday in the yard.  Two things happened in the yard besides our obvious #1 and #2.  (That was a potty joke, get it -- pee and poo, #1 and #2).

Anyway... the first thing that happened was Benji's big red ball popped on the Christmas Tree in the back corner of the yard.  Benji was devastated, he kept going back and forth to the ball checking to see if the ball magically had air in it...unfortunately the ball is beyond repair.  Fortunately we have another ball, butt that ball is losing air fast.   Mommy promised to buy Benji another ball.

The second thing that happened is that Mommy found a key in the yard while she was on Pooper Scooper Duty.  Mommy thought that it was odd to find a key in our yard.  The first thing that came to her mind is ... which one of you boys has a girlfriend dog who gave us a key to their house!

Mommy, we don't have girlfriends (yet).  The key is not ours.

Fortunately my Super Hero Cape arrived just in time in the mail to help solve the mystery of key.   Mommy ordered a Super Hero Cape and a T-shirt from Big Honey Dog's Store http://bighoneydog.com/ you can get to the store from her blog.   The Super Hero Cape is marked as an "APRON" in the store, butt we all know it's a Super Hero Cape with a convenient pocket built right in it to store toys and dog treats!   (Hey Superhero dogs need to eat and play too.)

Some of you may ask, why do I get the Super Hero Cape and Benji only gets the T-shirt.  That's because I am the head of the house and Benji is only a Super Hero in training.  Benji doesn't focus on the job ahead, he only focuses on the toys and treats in my cape, so, Benji doesn't get his own Cape.

We still have a lot of detective work.  So far we know it's not the key to our house and it's not the key to Mommy's sister's house. Mommy asked her brother if he lost a key and he didn't think so.


I think its a key to buried treasure!

p.s. By the way, the Aluminum Foil "Super Sheltie" that Mommy made from recycled Aluminum Foil ages ago is not available to help us solve this mystery -- Mommy kinda tore his red cape while hanging up Christmas Stockings last month and is waiting for Valentines Day to see if she can get a big piece of red aluminum foil on a chocolate to re-do his cape.

Snow & Snowman

We only got a coating of snow over the weekend.  Us dogs love the snow butt Mommy hates shoveling. So, Mommy is happy with the coating of snow on the grass we got on Sunday.  The only bad part of not getting much snow is that you can't make a snowman.

Mommy decided to take a picture of her breakfast which was a Snowman Donut.  The donut was a little hard because it was a couple of days old.   Mommy's niece said she was gonna eat it -- so Mommy was saving it for her.  Butt she didn't eat it.

Mommy didn't want to throw out the cute donut so she decided to eat it.

It was too hard to eat - so she did what Grandma always tells her to do "Just stick it in the microwave for a few seconds and the donut will get soft."

So, Mommy put Frosty in the microwave hoping the donut would get soft and after about 10 seconds, Mommy glanced in thru the microwave window and saw Frosty melting!  Mommy stopped the microwave in record speed. Took out Frosty the Snowman donut and said.... WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!

The donut was a little softer.  Butt Mommy felt so bad because the Frosting was dripping all over her hand.

Lesson learned!  Don't stick a cute Snowman Donut in the microwave EVER !!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Blogville!

First I wanted to share a couple of pictures from Christmas.  The first picture is Mommy getting the treats out of our stockings that Santa Paws gave us.  (Mommy didn't know the picture was being taken or she would have looked up at the camera.) Benji's stocking is closest to the tree, and mine is the blue one with the pawprint.

The second picture is of the presents that Santa Paws and Mommy's Sister and family gave Mommy.  The two Sheltie ornaments have our names written on them, not sure if you can tell by the picture.  Mommy was so thrilled when she opened that present.   The Beware of Shetland Sheepdog sign was also a big hit!   Mommy got a Smurfette the smurf ornament and a trombone ornament too.  The green sheep pen was from Mommy's nephew.  He picked it out by himself at the school holiday shop and Mommy loves it.  We think its pawsome too since its a sheep.

 

Here is a picture of us today on New Year!  We were watching that parade with all those floats with the flowers on it, I think its the Tournament of Roses Parade.  And then we flipped the TV channel and watched the Philadelphia Mummers Parade.

Mommy asked me and Benji what part of the parade we liked best.   Of course I said I loved the "Lassiter High School Marching Band" they marched in the Roses Parade.  (Of course I liked that band the best because my first name is "Lassiter" but everyone calls me "Lassie" you know.)

Benji said he liked the Dinosaur float the best at the Roses Parade.  He is trying to do an impression of a dinosaur breathing fire, butt I think dragons breathe fire, not dinosaurs. Anyway I let him have his fun sticking his tongue out like he was a dinosaur/dragon.
